With his wings spreading out onto the frame, this hand painted pelican makes a big splash. I painted this on a Hurricane Katrina damaged door salvaged from New Orleans with vintage hardware attached. The flood line is still visible on the cypress frame.
I painted the Pelican with acrylics on wood board mounted into the frame where there was originally glass.
